Free e-Book: “Web Work 101: How to Escape the Cubicle”
Earlier this year, the WebWorkerDaily team put together Web Work 101, a series of great posts for beginning web workers. I decided to collect the best of them in a free downloadable e-book: “Web Work 101: How to Escape the Cubicle.”
While the prospect of working from home (or maybe by a swimming pool, or by a beach hut somewhere exotic) sounds very enticing, it can also bring its challenges. How do you stay motivated when you’re not surrounded by your colleagues? What do you do if a critical piece of hardware fails? What are the best applications to use to stay productive? How do you make sure that you maintain good work/life balance?
This 33-page e-book should help answer those questions. It contains advice on what tools you need to use; what traits successful web workers have; how to set up your home office; planning and budgeting; how to avoid loneliness; and much, much more. If you’re a new web worker, or are thinking about becoming one, it’s worth checking out — download it here.
Let us know what you think of “Web Work 101: How to Escape the Cubicle” in the comments.

Thanks very much for the ebook but I must say you are really losing out on a chance to build a nice list. I suggest you setup an Aweber email list and ask people put in their email for the book.
Just a thought.
thanks for the suggestion, Austin. I did consider making it a requirement to subscribe to our newsletter, but I prefer there being no “barriers to download” (especially as the content was already available elsewhere on the site)
Thanks for the wonderful e-Book I have added a link to it in the Freebies section on the sidebar of our site.
