I recently started using the “block application” feature and it has made life so much easier. I really enjoyed this post. I am actually thinking about going back through my “friend” list and assigning them groups so I know where they come from and maybe apply different privacy settings…

Daryl – Those were actually all the app invites, not apps I actually had. I think I ended up accepting/adding a handful with a few more still pending that I’m debating over.

Next step is removing some of the superfluous ones I added pre-strategy. Like Candy Corn. Errr…not sure why I added that!

I find it hard, with all of these social networking sites, not to severely dilute my efforts. I am wondering if the comment traffic on my blog is social enough.

Holy Moly! How many applications do you have??!

Thanks for the post – it encouraged me to go through my (much smaller than your) list of applications and remove those I no longer use, those which appear to no longer work, or those which don’t add any value for me or my profile visitors.

So far as using FB for professional purposes – no, I guess I don’t really, but I am on LinkedIn (for what that’s worth, which is not very much here in the UK at the moment).
