Hello DanGTD, it’s not clear if Office will be free, but from what I could infer, it may be that the web options are made available as part of a regular Office license.

I agree. For me, this online product suite will be a success if microsoft will truely support switching from online to desktop and back while editing a single file.

That growing number probably doesn't really take advantage of the features in Microsoft Office anyway. If they really did, then they would realize there's nothing like Excel and Word.

Google Docs is neat but it's a long way from being a replacement for Office, and same thing goes for Open Office 3. It's getting there, but not there yet.

A growing number of us do few and often unprinted docs with no need for microsoft bloat.

If we need it all online then OpenOffice3 online is just out on the Ulteo desktop http://www.ulteo.com/home/ooo
