[...] Gizmo is a useful add-on to Grand Central, as well as other SIP-based phone systems like Asterisk. It’s essentially a more open version of Skype, and works well with standards-based VoIP phone systems, handsets and services. Grand Central can route calls to Gizmo users, so you can use that to further reduce costs. Gizmo is also a free service, but like Skype charges nominal fees for inbound phone numbers, and for outbound calls to regular phones (VoIP calls are always free). [...]

I hear you with voip quality issues. Skype does have very good quality. My call center has integrated some VOIP services and have found some good cost savings by doing so.

If you want to check out a call center that uses VOIP and has GREAT quality check out Answering Service and Call Center

Those are all fine services for consumers, or a sole proprietor. The truth is in business, you don't want to have to ask someone to dial a toll number under the assumption that they have unlimited long distance.

Toll-Free is the way business is conducted, especially if you are dealing with a client. Also the service by nature is more reliable.

Toll based services over-book their ports (10,000 ports for 12,000 people)and it's all OK as long as everyone doesn't use it all at once. Those are the times you get busy signals and dropped callers. A good Toll-Free service never over-books their ports.

For a true reliable business level service and to make the greatest impression on your clients, use a toll-free service.

My company can provide the service for you along with Free wallet cards, web-control, and more.
