Never have they had a non-compete clause included though. I traditionally offer a confidentiality agreement as part of my new client sign-on process. As a copywriter, I've refused to sign several NDAs with non-competes - absent a much bigger fee to compensate me for the potential revenue loss. The clients - when confronted by that reality - were more than happy to excise the offending passage. One item not discussed are the non-compete clauses sometimes hidden in NDAs.
