Do You Need a Virtual Cubicle?

August 14th, 2008 (2:00pm) Mike Gunderloy 1 Comment

It’s one of the ironies of web worker life: you arrange your career so you can get out of the dreaded cubicle farm. Then you go off to the local coffee shop to work, and discover that perhaps a bit of privacy wasn’t such a bad thing after all.

Over at our sister blog jkOnTheRun, a new entry discusses how you can build a virtual cubicle anywhere you work. It’s full of tips based on years of working just about anywhere, from what hardware you can use to gain a bit of privacy to how to stay comfortable.

It happens even when working at home, Mike. Either I wake up ’round 3 am for that quiet time or lock myself in the toilet and get that cubicle I used to dread back then at the office.

Best.
