Tiny Twitter Gets Even Better

August 13th, 2008 (12:00pm) Scott Blitstein 7 Comments

I’ve always found Tiny Twitter to be an outstanding mobile Twitter client, and with its latest release it has gained some new features that make it even better. I’ve raved about Tiny Twitter in the past and now it is even more useful.

New features include auto uploading of photos to Twitpic along with your tweet, and a hook into a GPS if available to provide location services. I’m particularly pleased with the Twitpic integration options as I have never really taken full advantage of the camera on my mobile. Being able to snap a quick photo and do a quick tweet makes it really simple to capture and share those moments. Look for more photos from me moving forward.

Tiny Twitter is a free download and works on many mobile devices.

How do you access Twitter from your mobile?

  • I’m an iPhone user so Twinkle/Twitterrific apps are my preferred method.

  • I downloaded Tiny Twitter on to my Palm Centro and haven’t used it because it doesn’t load properly and takes more work than logging on to mobile Twitter. I may have downloaded the wrong version or something, not sure.

  • I’ve been using this for a day now…buggy. May be resorting to the previous version. Not feeling it for the upgrade.

  • @Michael – I’ve heard good things about those but not sure how they compare specifically. Glad you found something that works for you.

@crossn81 – Odd, I had no trouble on my Windows Mobile device. Once I logged in the first time, I’ve never had to do anything else. Maybe try contacting them for help?

@collin – What issues are you having? @tinytwitter is the developer, he would probably appreciate hearing your bug reports.

  • On iPhone, I try to use Twinkle, but because of API limitations, you can only go back so far. So, I find myself pretty much always using m.twitter.com.
