Firefox 3 was so slow for me, I deleted it and went back to FF2. I'm on a Mac, maybe the PC version is better.

You can launch Firefox with the -safe-mode switch to disable all extensions. This should get you into the addon dialog to remove the troublesome ones.

Once you convert your firefox profile to Firefox 3, it's not possible to take it back to 2. A lot breaks.

That said, you can start a fresh profile and move just the things you need, like signons and cookies for example.

I got burned early on with the FF3 betas, but the release works great for me. Make sure you're using the latest version of FF 3 and search around for beta releases of the plugins you need for FF3.

Good luck, the performance boost in FF 3 is worth the trouble of upgrading.

I've had nothing but troubles with Firefox 3's add-ons. As I write here, the add-on window has crashed again, it does this EVERY time I open it.

There are some old Firefox 2 add-ons sitting there, which not only don't work, but seem to be causing the crashes -- but I can't get far enough to remove them.

I hope Firefox3 doesn't turn out to be Mozilla's Vista.

Incidentally, does anyone know if it's possible to go back to Firefox 2?
