Helipad Stores Notes Online

Looking for a place to save notes, lists, and random bits of information online, with a bit more structure than a wiki? A free account at Helipad might be just the thing for you. Helipad bills itself as “the flexible web notepad,” which means you can store all manner of text (using Textile or HTML markup for formatting) in as many documents, organized with tags, as you want. Think of it as a junk drawer for to-do lists, notes to yourself, directions, or whatever else, with browser-based access.
Helipad documents are private by default, but you can share them via URL. There’s a mobile version, the ability to export to HTML, and even a JavaScript plugin system to let you extend the software.

Sounds similar to google notebook – I wonder what they can do better?

As a BackPackIt user, it would be hard for me to give that up. However, as much as I love BackPackIt, I should give them a try.

Nice find. I like the focus and simplicity. I can see this working in scenarios where wikis have been a harder sell for being too wide open and too techie.
