I have been fairly impressed with Xobni. I agree that the indexing system is better than Google Desktop, which I also use. I would like to see it provide more integration with Tasks, Calendar and Live Communicator. I hope that these are all things on their todo list

I tried this while it was in beta a few months ago, and ended up uninstalling it after a few days.

The data visualizations were initially cool, but didn't really chance the way I worked. Besides, the plug-in's benefits simply didn't overcome the overhead of indexing and the frequent Outlook crashes it caused.

Those issues very well may have been fixed in later beta versions, but there just isn't enough there to get me to try it again.

If you're looking for a truly useful Outlook plug-in, take a look at ClearContext [http://www.clearcontext.com/].

It's fast and inline with Outlook which makes it better than Google Desktop and Copernic in my book. Love the recent conversations list.
