I lodged a suggestion with Twitter about this ... hmm maybe 4 months ago? Guess with the permissions model it's too hard to implement. That way any @reply to me is sent to my phone, regardless of whether I follow them or not. I set my account to send updates to phone and web, and only the few keywords I track and Twitter accounts that are meant for status updates/breaking news are sent to my phone. Instead of TwitterReply, I just set my phone to track my username. That way any @reply to me is sent to my phone, regardless of whether I follow them or not.
