Twing Delivers Forum Search

ScreenshotSometimes being a web worker is all about finding the information. The major search engines are our friends, but sometimes it’s worth taking a more specialized route. For peer-to-peer support info, it can be helpful to just focus on what’s happening in user forums. And that’s where Twing comes in: they’ve built a dedicated search engine that searches only forums.

I used Twing to poke around for answers to some web design and coding questions I’ve had lately. For the more mainstream things (CSS or jQuery issues, for example) it proved to be a quick way to find places where folks were sharing solutions. Narrower searches regarding bugs in particular software performed better on Google for me. With 5000 or so forums indexed, Twing is worth knowing about when you want to see if anyone shares your pain.

Mike,
I wanted to suggest that you take a look @ Omgili.com – a really cool discussions search engine.
