Copper Project Wants to Manage Your Company

March 27th, 2008 (2:00pm) Mike Gunderloy No Comments

ScreenshotWell, perhaps not your entire company, but Copper Project offers a wider mix of features than most online project management tools. They’re designed for creative teams, but anyone from print to software to web design with complex interlocking projects should be able to make good use of this web-based tool. Unlike some similar offerings, you can either use Copper Project in a hosted environment (starting at $9/month) or license it for use on your own servers, complete with source code.

Depending on the edition (Personal, Standard, Corporate, or Enterprise), you’ll find a wealth of features here, including project tracking with Gantt charts and custom reports, contact management that edges into the CRM arena, security that lets you allow clients in to a subset of your site, file management, task lists, calendars, LDAP integration, and much more. You can try out a demo or sign up for a 14-day trial at their site.
