I must admit that I was expecting a list of alternative of amazon's EC2 when reading the rss title on my opera mini. I know it has been a long unresolved debate, but I think we (web people) should invent a new vocab for this virtual os. I suggest we start calling it 'web desktop'. No?

Previously I have used desktop on demand mostly because it was a true remote desktop and worked OK when mobile with only dialup access (currently offline due to paid relaunch) and cosmopod (seemingly also now offline). Recently startforce caught my eye based around zoho apps.
