Photonic: Easy Flickr for Mac Users

February 27th, 2008 (8:00am) Mike Gunderloy 4 Comments

ScreenshotMost web workers I’ve met host photos at Flickr – ranging from a few to thousands. If you’re a heavy Flickr user and you’re using a Mac, you should take a look at the just-released Photonic, a desktop Flickr client. Photonic gives you an easy interface to explore your own photos, as well as those of your contacts, groups, favorites, and searches. It’s also got a nice uploader built into it, which I personally find much easier to use than the default Flickr online uploading page, even after the recent revisions there.

Photonic isn’t free: it’s $20 to register after the trial period. But I’m sure I’ll save $20 worth of my time by using it, and perhaps you will too.
