It is a ready-to-use solution for online collaboration and knowledge management, including tools and workflow for document creation, sharing, approval, editing and publishing. The user privileges and the document visibility can be set on a document level.
Each Cognopolis site comes with a full set of Web 2.0 tools (knowledge base, news management, blogs, forums, downloads, galleries, FAQ, calendar, messaging, page building), with such functionality as tunable full text search, tagging, rating, RSS feeds, commenting, and with full administration allowing for very flexible setting of user privileges and content visibility. There are many new features coming, including export and archiving of the site content. Individual modules can be turned off if not needed.

I changed to Nomadesk - http://www.nomadesk.com some time ago. It&#039;s a collaboration tool for small teams. I think one of the main advantages is that you don&#039;t have to be connected to the internet to access your shared files. They are stored on your local computer and the changes are synchronized with the other members when you connect to the internet.
It&#039;s not about collaboration bells and whistles: I love its simplicity and reliability.
You might want to check them out.</description>
