Top Productivity Blogs – According to Productivity Zen, Web Worker Daily is #15 on the top 20. This is based on the SocialRank engine, which measure popularity by linking within the blogosphere. We’re happy, and if you want to find other good productivity blogs, go check out the full list.

Quick and Easy Narrated Slide Shows – That’s the goal of QlipBoard, free Windows-based software that can do screen captures, voiceovers, and annotations with a minimum of effort. There are professional demo applications that do much more, of course, but the price is right on this one for a quick explanation, video question, or bit of feedback to a designer.

Build Your Own Mobile Game – And maybe make $10,000 in the pre-launch games contest from Playoo. They’re gearing up for the launch of a mobile gaming community that uses Flash Lite, but you can download their developer tools right now and upload your best games for a shot at cash prizes.

Even an MD Can Work on the Web – ConsultADoctor lets you sign up for a plan beginning at $9.95 a month, and then consult physicians via telephone or “secure e-mail.” They obviously can’t do everything remotely, but for some routine questions this might be another way for web workers to cut health costs. Looks like there’s an entire burgeoning telemedicine industry out there.

All the Conferences You Could Ever Need – Confabb is “the conference community,” letting you search, discuss, and review conferences and speakers. Right now their database has somewhat north of 50,000 conferences listed. They’ve also recently added news hubs for hot conference topic areas including social media, content management, internet identity, and software collaboration.

  • Thanks for recommending SocialRank and ProductivityZen to your readers!

I just wanted to let you know that SocialRank looks at a lot more than just links. For example, we also look at comments to see where the conversation is happening. In addition, we establish detailed profiles of every blog to help us determine what stories and blogs are the most interesting right now.
