That it made my husband's lay-off happy news instead of devastating news since the lay-off was the impetus for me to make the leap to full-time freelance with (so far) very happy results!

I'm thankful for....

-being able to meet both my kids at the bus with a smile everyday
-being able to volunteer in their classrooms teaching computers
-the best clients ever!
-really cool work
-no office politics
-not having to travel on snow days
-being able to watch my eyeTV while I work
-the undo button

Among other things, I'm thankful that web work has been good for both the environment and my pocketbook. Our car, which turned a year old a few weeks ago, still has under 4800 miles on it. I shudder to think how much we'd be spending on gas if we actually had to commute!

Also, thankful that I didn't have to choose between my career and raising my children. Because of webwork, I can do both fulltime.
