One of my clients has me convert her performance DVDs and upload the performances to Google Video every couple of months. I've found that Avidemux really helps with this (going from multiple .vobs, making edits, applying filters, then converting into something I can upload). I'm on Linux so if I need to use Super (it is very convenient) I use VNC to remote control my Windows desktop on the network and run the process there.
