So I'm essentially a different person in LinkedIn (strictly used for my job) compared say to MySpace (which I use for finding new music mainly). Different person means different information on my profile, different nickname - and I probably want to keep contacts in one network quite separate from contacts in the other. I feel sometimes like a "web 2.0" poster boy, and it becomes overwhelming at times. I for instance, only put energy into those social networking sites that actually improve and facilitate social networking for me. I have a LinkedIn profile, but I don't personally get much from it; but Facebook is a good avenue to keep up with others. Those were good tips.
